Museum

Explore life's boundaries through a mental museum.

View Transcript
Close your eyes and imagine that you are walking into the marbled halls of a great museum. A sign near the entrance lists off three rules for entry. One, there is a $20 entrance fee. Two, all bags must be checked. Three, the museum closes at nine. Maybe the $20 feels steep. Maybe you don't wanna leave your bag behind but think, why does the museum have these boundaries? Why do they charge admission? Why do they check your bag? Why do they have closing hours? Now, let's think about a boundary you have in your life. What is that boundary? Say it to yourself. Why do you have this boundary? Think of a person that you might need to set a boundary with. What boundary do you need to set? If you do this, what is the best possible outcome? How would that make you feel? What is the worst that might happen? How would that make you feel? Finally, lift your heart up to God. Ask for help in setting the right rules for the fascinating museum that is you.
