- For me, self-compassion isn't simply naming something like, may I be happy, may I be free? Those kind of things. For me, self-compassion is understanding that you're doing the best you know how in any given moment with the conditioning and the tools that you have and acknowledging that. And that leads immediately to see that in others, but just in terms of self-compassion, knowing I'm doing the best I know how in any given moment is so powerful in unlocking the judgments that we have about how we should be and not enough and all that.
