So the common mistakes I see people set are varied, but the most common ones I see are these eight ones. Number one is making too few of goals. You wanna keep your goals varied, and lots of them, so that you have more opportunities for success throughout the year. Number two is keeping them too vague. You really wanna get specific, so that you know when you've accomplished those goals. Number three is setting "do not" goals. You want goals that are positive rather than "do not do" goals. Number four is setting weekly or daily goals. You want to set number of times you do things, not weekly or daily. Number five is setting goals that you think sound good, or vanity goals. You wanna set goals that are realistic for your life, not just ones that sound good. Number six is not writing your goals down. You wanna have them in front of you, and something that you're going to be able to see throughout a year. Number seven is not being flexible with yourself, or letting your goals change throughout the year. Life happens and you need to let it happen. Number eight is setting push goals. So you wanna succeed in goal setting. You don't wanna push yourself too hard in your first year. You wanna set yourself up for success.
