Practice spirituality while walking the dog.

Hi, I'm Teri. I'm so glad you're here. Let's get started. It's possible to connect to the divine and find peace every day. Simple daily tasks offer the perfect time to create spiritual practices. Through finding quiet space in the mind and focusing on gratitude. Let's go for a walk with your dog and practice spirituality. As you begin to move, take a moment to relax your shoulders and neck. Soften your jaw. Let your arms swing naturally, hands soft on the leash. Move at a comfortable pace. There's no rush. Now bring your attention to your breath. Taking even, slow breaths in and out of your nose, with the lips gently closed. Use your breath to bring your mind home to your body and focus on the present. Walking with your dog and breathing. Slow, easy, inhale, and slow, easy exhale. For the next couple of minutes, pay attention to your breath. When your thoughts wander, just gently come back to the rhythm of your inhale and exhale, walk and breathe. Now notice the space around you. Take some time to observe as you breathe. Notice the sky, the landscape, the buildings, the ground under your feet. Notice the natural ease in your dog as it walks with you. What do you see as you walk? Take a nice, long breath. Listen to the sound of your feet. Your dog's pause. All the sounds around you. What do you hear? What do you smell? What does the air feel like on your face as your body moves and your breath flows? Now think of the things you are grateful for. Start with your walking companion and move on from there. Allow these things to move through your mind one after another. What are you grateful for today? Move your awareness to your spirit, to the divine inside you. Your mind, body and spirit are all connected. They are all you. God and nature inside you, inside your dog and all around you. Walk, breathe, and connect to the divine inside and around you. Be grateful for your divinity. Take a long, slow breath. Notice how you feel. Pause for a moment and pet your dog. Give it some love. Be grateful for the time you spend together each day. Now enjoy the rest of your walk. Thank you for spending this spiritual moment with Skylight. Enjoy your day.
