Are you grieving? Take a moment and close your eyes. Let's check in on how you are feeling. What is going on in your head? What sensations do you feel in your body? Let those thoughts come and go without judgment. If tears come, let them flow freely. Now, take a deep breath in and with your exhale, send out any pent up emotion you may have. Do this as many times as you need, pausing the exercise if it helps. The darkness of grief can feel impenetrable. Take time and reflect on the part of your body where the darkness is most acute. Why do you think you're holding more grief there? Now let's reach upward to your higher power, asking for light to push the darkness out. Take three deep breaths, and as you do, breathe into that part of your body that is holding your grief. Imagine healing light illuminating that spot in your body. Sit here in this moment of quiet. Notice any new feelings you have. Great job.
