Those who practice guided meditations receive thorough instructions and guidance to help them have a more contemplative experience. It acts as a technique for developing mindfulness, which is being kind and paying attention to the present moment. During guided meditation, individuals are instructed to consciously and purposefully direct their attention, thoughts, and emotions.

In the context of this practice, guided meditation clearly mentions the idea of reaching out to a higher force, commonly referred to as God. This spiritual element adds to the practice's sense of support and the presence of the divine. It enables individuals to draw on their religious beliefs and establish a relationship with God through prayer, communication, and peace from a higher force. This connection to God is viewed as a means of finding solace, guidance, and inner serenity.

With the intention of connecting with a higher power, people can use guided meditation to explore their spirituality and improve their relationship with a heavenly being. It allows for focused, purposeful meditation, which promotes sentiments of peace, faith, and connection with the sublime. By combining guided meditation techniques with the purpose of reaching a higher power, people can experience a profound sense of spiritual well-being and find comfort in their journey of self-discovery and inner growth.

Let's start by finding a comfortable place to sit. If this isn't a place you can be alone, hopefully it's a place you can be alone in your thoughts. Breathe slow, relaxed breaths. Sit tall with your core engaged and your shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes and allow them to soften. Give yourself permission to be here at this moment. Everybody has worries. Acknowledge all the things that worry you and know that they will be better served by you're being grounded in this moment. Feel how every part of your body is connected from the tips of your fingers and toes to your joints, your back, your neck, and your head. Breathe deep, relaxed breaths. Let's talk with God. Consider one thing that is bringing tension, stress or pain into your life. In your own words, tell God what that thing is. And now tell God what feelings come from it. In your own words, ask God to bring peace to your spirit. Take some time now to listen to your spirit, how it feels, what it receives. Feel your spirit, mind, and body as one. Continuing to breathe slowly. Open your eyes. Great job.
