A great approach to well-being is one provided by a guided yoga practice that helps individuals to embrace optimism, stretch their bodies, and create a sense of connection to both themselves and a larger force. Yoga teaches practitioners to shift their focus to the positive aspects of their lives, developing an attitude of gratitude and appreciation. By choosing to consciously embrace positivity, people can enhance their mental and emotional well-being and lead more balanced and fulfilling lives.

Yoga's approach to positivity is beyond the idea of toxic positivity, which invalidates or ignores real feelings and experiences. Instead, it pushes people to build a healthy, sincere sense of optimism. Yoga encourages us to embrace and appreciate all feelings, including challenging ones while maintaining a happy outlook in life.

Through yoga, people can learn to have a positive outlook on life and to have a healthy connection with their emotions. It encourages people to examine and identify negative emotions without passing judgment, as opposed to repressing or dismissing them. A greater understanding of oneself is possible because of this focused awareness, which also makes room for personal development and healing.

- [Rehl Clarke, Yoga Instructor] - Hey guys, let's take a moment to embrace the positive things around us and stretch out our body and get some movement in. I want you to come into a standing position and we're going to lower our left leg down, coming into a low lunge, keeping our left knee down onto the ground. Placing both of our hands on top of our right knee we're going to gently press our right knee forward as we gaze up to the sky. Inhaling and exhaling here we're gonna take one more inhale and exhale. Straightening our right leg, placing both of our hands on either side of our leg. From here, we're just gonna rock back and forth super gently. Getting some nice movement, letting our hips be squared, falling down to the floor and coming back up. Sweeping our arms up to the sky, gazing at our fingertips, we're gonna exhale, bringing our hands heart to center. We're gonna inhale, left arm comes up to the sky. Exhale, opening that up to the left, taking our gaze behind us towards our left fingertips. Sweeping that left arm up to the sky. We're gonna exhale, bringing it to our right hand heart center. Placing both hands on either side of our right foot, we're gonna curl our left toes underneath us, pushing up into a high lunge and stepping forward. We're going to inhale, placing our hands onto our shins and exhale falling forward. Inhale, placing our hands back onto our shin, lifting into a flat back. We're gonna inhale, coming all the way up. And exhale, bring your hands heart to center. This time we're going to step our right leg back, coming into that low lunge. Placing both hands on our left knee and gently pressing our left knee away from us. Thinking here of positive influences that we have in our life that connect us better to ourselves and better to a higher power. So find goodness in our day, and in our jobs, in our schoolwork, whatever it may be. Placing both of our hands on either side of our left foot, we're going to rock back and forth, extending our hips back, drawing them down to the floor, and coming back up. Keeping our hips squared here. We're gonna do this two more times. Inhaling, both arms up to the sky, gazing at our fingertips. Exhale, bringing your hands heart to center. This time, our right arm is going to sweep back behind us, taking our gaze behind to our fingertips. Taking a nice deep breath here. We're gonna inhale, sweeping our right arm all the way up to the sky. And exhale, bringing our hands heart to center. Placing both of our hands onto the left. Placing both of our hands on either side of our left foot, we're gonna curl our right toes underneath us, coming into a high lunge and stepping both feet center. Inhale, placing our hands onto our shin. Flat back and exhale falling forward. Inhale, arms come all the way up to the sky. Exhale, bringing your hands heart to center. Inhale, arms come up to the sky. Exhale, our left hand is going to grab our right wrist and we're going to gently fall to the left. Taking our gaze down. Inhaling and exhale really lengthening deep into this stretch. Inhale, both arms up to the sky, flipping the grip, and exhale falling to the right. Inhale both arms up to the sky and exhale falling forward. Placing our fingertips underneath our toes and gently hanging heavy here. Inhale, rolling up one vertebrae at a time. Inhale, lifting our arms all up to the sky. And exhale, bring your hands heart to center. Thank you so much for doing this quick practice with me to find better influence that can lead to hope and a better connection with the higher power. Namaste.
